Grace in the Middle (And a Give-Away!)

| |

Out of His fullness, we have all received grace on top of grace.” John 1_16Once upon a time there was a grumpy little girl who wanted to change her name.

Actually, she just wanted to borrow her big sister’s name.

‘Cause her sister had “Grace” in the middle.

And she wanted it, too.

This mama isn’t about to change her “baby’s” name because of a convincing pink pout.  But I do understand my little girl’s longing.

Grace in the middle.  Who doesn’t need that?

No matter where life on this earth begins or how quickly it ends, we all need a little grace in the middle.

Beginning with purpose? That’s how we were made.

Ending in joy? Our Savior promises that.

But making it through middle? That’s a different story…

I’m delighted to be hanging out at Katy McCown’s beautiful blog today sharing the story of that grumpy girl and dishing out some hope for all of us who are living in the “middle” of this great big story our Savior is scripting with our lives.

Oh, and I’m giving away a fun gift, too…

Something that just might make you feel like a child again or at least chase away the grown-up grumpies now and then!

Hope you’ll stop by Katy’s place and be encouraged.

I’ll see you there!

  1. Thanks for sharing. The following sentence stood out: “Grace to choose gratitude instead of grumbling, hope instead of despair, faith instead of faltering. Ephesians 2:8 – 10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

  2. Thank you-I am praying for grace in the middle.
