Tuesday’s Tips: Easter Fun-Time for some Egging!

|

I’m so glad you stopped by today for Tuesday’s Tips. I hope that as you peruse this weekly IDEA SWAP, you’ll find a gold-mine of encouragement and treasure trove of creative ideas excavated straight from the sticky trenches of parenthood.

Of course a SWAP wouldn’t be a true exchange without many voices. So, please consider chiming in the discussion and sharing your own great ideas. If you’ve discovered a tried and true trip that has made motherhood a little easier, a little more exciting, or a bit more meaningful, please let me know.

Just leave a comment after this post or send me an email @rbruxvoort.iowatelecom.net so I can share your idea in the next swap! I’d love to feature you on an upcoming TuesdayLet the digging begin!

Easter Fun: Let’s Go Egging!

Our house got egged last Easter, and my girls have been waiting for an entire year to return the favor!

Then go buy a pile of plastic eggs, fill them with candy, and let the egging begin!

We’ve got our eggs filled and our plans made. Over the weekend, we’ll sneak over to a few of our friends’ houses when it gets dark and egg them in the moonlight!

We’d love to see the faces of our surprised friends when they wake to a yard filled with colorful treats, but we’ll just have to imagine that moment, because we won’t be camping out all night to see the morning fun.

To remind those we’ve egged of the REAL reason for our Easter joy, we’ll leave a “golden egg,” a large yellow egg with a rock (the girls have painted crosses on them) and this tiny poem:

Jesus Rocks!
May this little stone remind you
Of our Savior’s victory.
He bore our sins upon the cross
And died to set us free.
But death could not smite Heaven’s King
Nor hold Him in the grave.
He rose again on Easter morn,
Our lives and souls to save!

Go ahead.. scatter some joy! Easter is all about spreading the Good News!
