ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Alicia!

I am a storyteller and a hope dweller, an encourager and a friend. I’m the wife of that cute boy who sat behind me in fifth grade and mom to a growing gang of fabulous humans. I love words and whimsy, walks in the woods and sunsets at the beach. I like my coffee hot and my conversations deep. I believe in a God who sees us as we are and loves us anyway, a Savior who died to set us free, and a Holy Spirit who delights in sharing our steps.

If you stopped by my house today, you’d probably find a sticky kitchen counter, a stack of overdue library books, and a lively goldendoodle who’s happy to see you.  I might wrap my arm around you and give you a hug before I even ask your name.  I know. That’s kind of awkward. But I can’t help myself. I love meeting new friends.

If you had time to linger, I’d invite you to join me around the table for a cup of coffee or a mug of tea. Of course, I’d warn you about our old wooden chairs that squeak when you wiggle. (But don’t worry, we’d just talk a little louder if you can’t sit still!)

I might be sporting the same sweatshirt and yoga pants that I wore yesterday. Because, let’s be honest, laundry isn’t my favorite thing to do, and I don’t think we need to have it all together to be together.

I’m guessing if we shared some honest words, we’d discover we’re more alike than different. We’d find common threads that tie our tales together, collective hopes that make our heartbeats quicken. I bet we’d discover that now and then we both feel unsure and unseen, emptied and tired. We might admit that sometimes when the din of the day gives way to the quiet of night, we long for more. More hope. More peace. More purpose. More faith.

I believe that more we’re longing for is Jesus. And the good news is this—we don’t have to look far to find Him. We can spot Him in the simple moments of our ordinary days—in the spilled milk on the floor and the spilled tears on our pillows, in the aches of our laments and the quakes of our laughter. But sometimes we just need a little help to see Him.

That’s why I’m here. I want to help you see Jesus more clearly and know Him more intimately. I want to help you recognize His presence right where you are so you can walk with hope wherever you go.

Friend, everything changes when we wake up to the God who is with us. And it’s easier to trust Him with all of our heart when we’re deeply acquainted with His.

Let’s seek Him together.
