Heaven

“Grandma, I know what Heaven is like,” Joshua announced as they drove past a cemetary on their way home from a morning adventure.

“Oh?” Grandma glanced at her littlest grandson in the rearview mirror.

“Yeah. I’ve seen it from here.”

Grandma turned her head briefly to hold the gaze of the green-eyed boy in the backseat. “Did you see it in a dream?”

“No. I just saw it with my eyes open in this world, Grandma.”

Curious, Grandma asked, “So what is Heaven like, Joshua?”

Josh smiled. “It’s a place where everyone is riding two-wheeled bikes! And nobody needs training wheels, Grandma. Just two wheels for EVERYONE.”

Grandma nodded.

“And guess what, Grandma?”

“What, Buddy?”

“In Heaven, nobody ever falls down and gets hurt!”

The van was quiet.

“That does sound like Heaven, Joshua.” Grandma agreed. “That does sound like Heaven.”

Today’s Overflow:  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” -Revelation 21:3-5
