A Display of His Splendor

|
All the planting that’s going on at my house has got me thinking about the kind of growing I want to do, too. When those mittens bloom, I want to display a few blossoms of beauty of my own…

A Display of His Splendor

Bury me, sweet Lord, in you.
Sink my roots in what is true.
Rain your word upon my heart.
Penetrate my deepest part.
With living water, soak my soul.
Restore my strength, Lord, make me whole.
Prune me with your loving hand
So firmly through the storms I’ll stand.
In times of drought or times of flood,
Protect me with the Savior’s blood.
Grow me, Father, as you please.
Make me blossom on my knees.
Cultivate your love in me
So all who watch me bloom will see
Your radiant beauty flowing through
This heart that longs to be like you.
And may all the glory be your gain
As I bear fruit in Jesus name.
Then when your work in me is done,
May I bear likeness to your Son.
So in your book, I’ll be remembered
As a display of your great splendor.

Beautiful! A few months ago God surprised me with the privilege of leading a ladies group at my church. We have a community vegetable garden at our church and I felt the Lord just planted another garden. A garden of women. This has become our theme as we meet each week to be watered by His living water. The Lord led me to this verse recently. While doing a little research online I was led to your page. I can’t wait to share this with the ladies this week. I’m sure it will bless them as much as it did me. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your web site. I too feel like I need a place to pour out the overflow in me. Thank You, Deb
